What a lesson looks like

Lessons are 30 minutes, once a week, by video call at home.

Small steps from the start

Children begin with posture, bow hold and simple rhythms on the open strings, so even 3- and 4-year-olds can get started easily.

Learning by ear

Your child listens to the Suzuki recordings every day and learns pieces by ear before reading music.

You learn alongside

You join every lesson beside your child, and the teacher shows you exactly how to guide practice. No musical background needed.

Little and often

Short practice most days, plus daily listening, makes the biggest difference.

What you need at home

A violin the right size for your child. Young children play small violins and move up as they grow. Your teacher helps you measure and choose.

A laptop or tablet with a camera, placed so the teacher can see your child's head and torso, including the bow arm.

A steady internet connection.

Rosin and a shoulder rest or sponge, which sometimes come with the violin. See our violin setup guide.

Not sure what size or where to buy? Ask in your free chat.
